It’s meant to be the stuff of nightmares, not real life.
Seriously. Until I saw the video of a snake coming out of toilet here in Texas, I thought that was the sort of thing that could happen in a third world country, but not here in the good old United States of America. But I was wrong.
Here we are just a few weeks after posting the story of the snake coming out of the toilet, and I have yet another story about a snake making its way through a sewer line and straight out of the crapper.
The latest story comes from Andrews, a small town in West Texas. According to KIII-TV, Patty Tidwell woke up around 3:30 a.m. to use the bathroom when she was panicked by a sight that would give everyone a heart attack:
I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, and I opened my bathroom door, turned on the light and there was this big python hanging on the back of the toilet hanging in my sink. It freaked me out, I wasn’t expecting it.
Luckily for Patty, animal control was on top and arrived home in less than five minutes. An officer was able to remove the python using his hair straightener.
Of course, pythons weren’t native to that part of the country and since everything was big and healthy, it was probably someone’s pet.
As you might expect, Patty took steps to make sure this didn’t happen again. She weighed the lid with bricks and other heavy objects to make sure another snake didn’t enter her bathroom.
